Livingston Futbol Club is committed to providing one of the most affordable competitive soccer options in South Louisiana while maintaining high standards for coaching and player development. We believe every dollar invested in the club should directly benefit the players and their experience on the field.
Yes. Livingston Futbol Club understands that paying club dues upfront can be difficult for some families. To help make competitive soccer more accessible, we have 2 plans available to help families in our community.
- We offer an in-house payment plan to break the annual training fee into 3 separate payments throughout the fall season. Please email livingstonfutbol@gmail.com for further details on this option.
Additionally, we have partnered with Standard Financial, a local financing provider to offer simple monthly payment options for club dues.
For families registering one player, approval is automatic and no credit check is required! Families registering multiple players (or for additional financing for uniforms or other related costs), may qualify for expanded financing options with a standard credit and income review.
Payment plans allow families to spread club dues across the season while still securing their player’s spot on the team. Parents are encouraged to apply before or during player evaluations. Applications are available at https://standardfinancialbr.com/apply-for-a-loan/. Be sure to mention “LIVINGSTON FUTBOL CLUB” in the comments.
Additionally, we will provide sibling/multi-child discounts, as well as coaches & “key volunteer” staff discounts! More details on this to come in early summer 2026!
LFC competitive teams typically participate in one tournament per month. These tournaments are usually held in Baton Rouge, Ascension, New Orleans, Lafayette, and Hammond— locations close enough for families to travel without needing overnight stays. Teams need director approval to travel out of the “local” area and we do our best to maintain local games to keep costs down. Tournaments generally consist of two games on Saturday and at least one on Sunday, with an additional match if the team reaches the championship round. Multiple LFC teams often attend the same tournaments, fostering a strong, supportive club environment. Also, making it easier on parents who have multiple children playing.
Soccer is a complex sport that requires consistent training to develop technical (footskills) and tactical (decision-making and movement) abilities. Long breaks can hinder a player’s growth, making continuous training essential for development.
The season runs from August to November and picks up again from February to May, with breaks aligning with school holidays, including winter and spring breaks. Many of our players choose to supplement indoor soccer and middle school soccer during the winter break, but it is not required.
The Louisiana Soccer Association(LSA) mandates our tryout windows. However, this also allows us to prepare for the season starting in August. This ensures teams are properly formed, schedules are set, coaches are placed with the proper teams, and players have a clear development path.
Teams practice three days a week (twice weekly for pre-competitive/academy level), with schedules, times, and field locations announced before the season starts. Additional training opportunities are available through skills clinics and cross-team training sessions.
Playing time is not guaranteed, but our club philosophy prioritizes player development. Every player needs game experience in competitive situations to grow, and we strive to ensure all players receive meaningful playing time. While it may not always be equal, as long as the player is attending practice, opportunities to compete and develop will always be available.
Practices canceled due to weather are not rescheduled. However, the additional footskills clinics and training sessions offered throughout the season help compensate for any lost practice time. Individual coaches may opt to host virtual practices or video-training sessions in some cases.
We do not make false promises about securing college scholarships. Every player’s situation is unique, but we are committed to helping those who aspire to play at the collegiate level. That said, if club soccer is pursued solely for a scholarship, parents may find their investment better utilized elsewhere. Soccer should be played for the love of the game, personal growth, and discipline. The reality is that most college soccer scholarships cover only 10%-40% of tuition costs, while strong academic performance can secure more substantial financial aid. This is why we emphasize academics first.
Parent and player contracts are essential to maintaining a respectful and professional environment. These contracts outline expectations for players regarding commitment, respect for coaches, and accountability for attending practices. They also establish guidelines for parents on appropriate sideline behavior and communication protocols with coaches. These agreements help ensure a positive experience for all members of our club and serve as a valuable standard for LFC.
Yes. We encourage multi-sport athletes, especially at younger ages. However, competitive soccer requires a high level of commitment, and players are expected to attend the majority of practices and games. Families should carefully consider scheduling conflicts with other sports.
